Acceptance and Binding Legal Agreement
By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the New Link digital platform (newlink.lk) and affiliated digital services, you enter into a legally binding agreement and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not consent to all provisions outlined herein, you must immediately terminate platform access and discontinue use of all related services.
Access is reserved for individuals aged eighteen (18) or older possessing full legal capacity to enter into binding statutory contracts. Access by minors requires the active consent and uninterrupted supervision of a legal parent or court-appointed guardian.
User Accounts, Authentication, and Verification
When registering on New Link, you covenant to supply accurate, current, verifiable, and complete identity details. Deceptive impersonation, utilization of unauthorized phone numbers, creation of duplicate fraudulent accounts, or forging credentials is strictly prohibited.
- Credential Confidentiality: You bear exclusive accountability for safeguarding the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all actions executed under your authenticated session.
- Account Suspension & Termination: New Link reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or irrevocably terminate any account that violates platform standards, engages in deceptive practices, or infringes upon applicable laws without prior liability.
Vertical-Specific Operational Rules
Employment Portal and Candidate Submissions
Job application submissions are strictly complimentary for candidates. Employers are unequivocally prohibited from demanding upfront recruitment fees, processing charges, or training deposits from applicants. Employers warrant that all posted vacancies represent bona fide positions complying with Sri Lankan labor statutes.
Classified Marketplace Listings
Listings featuring contraband, illicit pharmaceuticals, weaponry, counterfeit merchandise, stolen property, or copyright-infringing content will be removed immediately. Buyers and sellers must exercise prudent independent diligence prior to exchanging funds or merchandise.
Matrimonial Network (Mangala Poruwa)
Submissions within the matrimonial division must genuinely seek lawful marriage alliances. Profiles must present unadulterated photographs, honest marital statuses, and authentic family backgrounds. Inappropriate, offensive, or defamatory conduct results in instant blacklisting.
Prohibited Conduct and Platform Misuse
Under no circumstances shall platform participants engage in any of the following restricted activities:
- Publishing slanderous, defamatory, deceitful, libelous, or racially/religiously offensive publications.
- Deploying automated crawlers, scrapers, data-mining spiders, or automated bots to harvest contact details.
- Interfering with server architecture, bypassing security tokens, or attempting Denial of Service exploits.
- Circulating unsolicited spam, pyramid schemes, unverified chain missives, or harassment communications.
Payments, Subscription Upgrades, and Refund Policy
Commercial tier upgrades, job promotional boosts, and matrimonial premium subscriptions operate under the following financial parameters:
- Manual Bank Slip Verification: Bank transfer submissions require authentic, unedited deposit slips, subject to manual administrative audit and verification.
- Non-Refundable Policy: Once administrative approval has provisioned the requested digital service or boost tier, fees are strictly non-refundable.
Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
New Link provides its ecosystem strictly on an 'as-is' and 'as-available' operational framework, without express or implied statutory warranties of any kind.
Under no legal theory shall New Link, its operators, directors, developers, or affiliates be liable for indirect, punitive, consequential, or economic damages arising from transactions conducted between third parties.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any legal controversies arising from or relating to platform usage fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
